Sustainable development in Bangladesh



From the 6th to the 26th of May, Macquarie University hosted a professional development program for 44 Bangladesh government Deputy Secretaries from various ministries and departments as part of the “Effective Governance for Sustainable Development in Bangladesh” program.

On May 22nd members of Campbelltown City Council staff gave the participants an overview of Campbelltown City Council’s activities focusing on the council’s structure and governance, during their stay the delegates also toured Eagle Vale Library and Leisure Centre.

Councillor Masood Chowdhury representing the Mayor Councillor George Brticevic, was delighted to welcome the delegates to Campbelltown City Council chamber and showcase the exceptional programs our council staff deliver, Councillor Rey Manoto also attended the presentation.

Access Macquarie Coordinator Dr. Prodip Royhan and a local Bangladeshi Australian Dr. Shafiqur Rahman were present during the event.
