Mr. Zia has shown promise in his first short movie, The Inner Eye. Technically good, photography and editing are up to the mark. The actors also acted quite professionally. If I am correct, the movie tries to convey the message that one cannot always get answer to his or her question from the world outside. In that case, he or she has to seek it from inner self.
One thing that I could not comprehend was why the on-lookers who were approached by Moushumi to find the location she was after did not say, I am sorry, for their inability to help her. Saying sorry is what I understand is normal courtesy. Or it was a deliberate ploy by the director to dramatize Moushumi’s dilemma or to highlight the apathy of the society to individual’s problem.
