Thanks to the webmaster for posting our comments.
I have previously expressed my comments as a concerned community member and
deliberately chose to remain anonymous. In fact I wanted to verify if others
in the community felt the same way about the consular services.
I am now convinced that many in the community feel the same way as I do and
we have seen a very quick response from Mushtaq Khan and Munirul Islam.
Thank you to both for putting forward their comments on the issue.
The High Commission has a moral duty to set fair prices in proportion to the
services provided. We should bear in mind that a visit to Bangladesh by a
non-resident is financially beneficial to Bangladesh and the fees should be
structured in a way that encourages people to visit Bangladesh more
frequently than less.
