2021, Another Year of Success! Bangladeshi Community living in Sydney has raised $38,341 this year (2021) for NSW Cancer Council’s ‘Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea’ initiative under the ‘Good Morning Bangladesh’ program. This is a collective effort and dedication of many volunteers, contributors and community members. Three events have been organised this year including 2 face-to-face events at Lakemba (13 June 2021) and Blacktown (20 June, 2021) and last one over Zoom for Mascot (27 June 2021) due to COVID restrictions. Through these initiatives Bangladeshi-Australian community makes a significant contribution towards cancer treatment and research.This program was initiated by Late Dr Abdul Haq of Hassall Grove in 2001. We have now crossed $291,000 mark with this year’s collection. The last 20 years’ collection outcomes are attached here.
