Good Morning Bangladesh - Another Year of Success!
Bangladeshi Community living in Sydney have raised $35,050 this year for NSW Cancer Council’s ‘Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea’ (ABMT) under the ‘Good Morning Bangladesh’ program. This is an outcome of hard work and dedication from many volunteers, contributors and community members. A series of events were organised at Mascot (21 April), Blacktown (28 April) and Lakemba (30 June) over the last few months. This program is a true demonstration of contributing back to Australian society from Bangladeshi-Australian community and this has been carrying out for the last 19 years. This program was initiated by Late Dr Abdul Haq of Hassall Grove. Glad to announce, we have now crossed $250k mark with this year’s collection. The venue-wise collection details for 2019 and last 19 years’ collection outcomes are attached here. We would like to thanks the volunteers and community members for their generous contribution and unconditional support towards this program over the years. - Dr Ayaz Chowdhury, Azad Alam, Farooq Hannan, Tanveer Shaheed, Rubaiyat Haq (Shathi). |
