My mind is no friend anymore
It has become tricky and plays nasty games with me.
It scares me and it tells me sickly stories
I try to discipline her, telling her to stop
She laughs and mocks and sometimes she shocks
Allowing me to float gently in her womb
Holding me close and then again she blows, my mind
She is no friend anymore
I fight and I fight and I scream and I cry
I argue and I pray and I sing her lullabies
I rock her to sleep and tell her it’s alright
Then suddenly she wakes up and once more
Tears apart my heart and scars me for life.
