Abu Saleh Musaji Khan Passed Away!
The father of Latifa Khanum (Minu), Zahidul Khan (Lattu) and Badrul Alam Khan (Badu) is dead. Abu Saleh Musaji Khan died earlier this week in a Jessore hospital of respiratory disease. He was aged in his early 90s. He was the son of landowners and had a love of literature and world affairs. He retained a secular outlook on life, influenced partly from living on the border through partition. During the few visits I made to Bangladesh, I remember that he would wake every morning and lister to BBC Bengali radio in his village residence. He visited Australia once in the early 1990s and found seatbelts and showers awkward. He is survived by seven children, many grandchildren and several great grandkids, both in Bangladesh and Australia.- Dr Tanveer Ahmed Shuvo
