Car Accident - Update 1
Dr. Ilyas Parvez (from Glenwood) and his wife had a serious car accident on Sunday night (18-Dec-2005) around 8 PM on Epping road, near Marsfield.

They were on their way home from a social visit when a speeding sports car driven by a 19 years old lost control and started to skid. It hit Dr. Parvez's car from behind and pushed him out of the road into a light post. Passanger side of his car got badly damaged trapping Mrs. Parvez inside. Emergency officers had to cut the car to free her from the wreckage. She was airlifted to the Royal North Shore Hospital. They suffered multiple fractures and internal injuries and underwent immediate surgery.

As of Wednesday afternoon they both are in stable condition and out of the intensive care unit.

Offending driver has been charged today by Police for dangerous driving.

Their two daughters Ilma and Rabiba were not with them; they are being looked after at home by relatives and friends.

Parvez family have many friends in Australia and overseas. Please keep an eye on the website for the updates. Hospital visits and phone calls to their daughters are not encouraged at this stage. This is an appeal from a close family contact - Webmaster
